I started BooBahBlue when my son was born. As a huge cheerleader of creative entrepreneurs making unique products, I knew I had to show off these costumes well before Halloween!
The customer experience was impeccable and so was the product. I frantically messaged her my want of an infant Jabba desires and she not only made it happen beyond my expectations but she listened to my wants of thin fabric since we’re still in warm weather in October and showed me samples of how she would create it. ? I searched on Etsy for an Ewok costume and BooBahBlue’s was the most impressive with that furry ear hair popping through a delicate hooded fabric. Johnny asked to be an Ewok so that I he could carry a stick and I, as Leia, could feed him treats. HOW COULD I SAY NO? The visualization I had of me pulling a wagon with a sitting infant in a big ball of green made me howl. So much so that he asked if Coco could be Jabba the Hutt for Halloween. Yet the only title he has given to his little sister without fail every single time is the role of Jabba the Hutt. When he has imaginary play he’s starred in almost every role. Overall, Captain America: Super Soldier shows that copying a style like Arkham can work perfectly if it can offer something unique.Confession: We are OBSESSED with anything that has a theme and Halloween is on the top of that obsession list in this house.Īs many of you have seen from my Instagram story antics, Johnny has ventured deep into a love of Star Wars this year. The game's bosses served as a great example of why the title was so well received by fans and critics alike by never feeling repetitive. For example, Zola's robot avatar may be one of the easiest to defeat because Cap only has to time his dodges and strikes. Each fight features a boss that requires a different strategy to beat. Foes like Baron Strucker, Arnim Zola and Baron Zemo try their hand at destroying the Star-Spangled Avenger. Some of Cap's deadliest enemies also make an appearance. But with mechanics like bullet deflection and crippling strikes, similar to Batman's combo takedowns, all of the tools were available to take on Hydra's strongest soldiers. These foes would continuously attack all at once and force the player to think on their feet, much like Cap would've. For every standard soldier, there were also baton and shield enemies, heavy enemies and robot bosses. These skills would become crucial as the game's enemy types vary much more than in Arkham Asylum. Coupled with the endlessly entertaining shield throw mechanic and the game could sometimes be difficult to master. Super Soldier adds another dedicated counter button that disorients the enemy and controls the fight's pace, along with a counter button that is followed with a strike. Super Soldier's base gameplay follows a similar structure, but about a quarter of the way through, the gameplay evolves into something unique. The counter into combo strategy was unheard of at the time but is still be seen in games like Marvel's Spider-Man. The Arkham game's most iconic feature has been its combat system. However, In Captain America: Super Soldier, Steve uses quick time parkour segments that are more akin to Prince of Persia than the Bat. In the Arkham games, Batman usually grapples or glides to each location. One of those differences can be found in the traversal. While the game showed no shame in being eerily similar to what inspired it, the developers made sure that its differences made it more of an equal rather than a carbon copy. However, of all of the Arkham copies that have been released, one dared to be almost exactly like its inspiration and came out being a perfect and unique attempt. Like Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, some of the best games owe thanks to Rocksteady's contributions from combat to world-building. When the original game was released in 2009, it changed how these games were approached forever. The Batman Arkham franchise has shown developers and players alike that a third-person action-adventure experience can be as immersive as any first-person shooter.
